The Indigo Pearl
We. Have. ARRIVED!
The four of us – Meredith, Anne, Tim and myself – checked ourselves out of Naiyang Beach Resort as soon as we got up. There was absolutely no reason to stay any longer than that! But it did serve it's purpose for a cheap place near our next resort to sleep after our 2:30am arrival. We then walked about two minutes to the back entrance of our home for the next two nights – the Indigo Pearl. We got this resort tip from our friend Andrew and we can't thank him enough. We had a great two story, two bedroom villa with a private hot tub. Heaven.
This time in Thailand is going to be a lot more beach and relaxation and less sightseeing – for a while at least. Meredith and Anne are with us for ten days and we couldn't be happier. Tim and I have been on the go go go and now it's time to chill with friends, sun, pool, beach, food, drink and fun.
After a massive pool day, we decided to hit up the nice restaurant on the property – Black Ginger – for some higher-end Thai food. The property is so massive you really don't need to leave it and can experience new and exciting places all around it. To get to Black Ginger, you board a little raft/boat on a pulley system and they pull you across to the restaurant that is surrounded by water. Black Ginger, and the entire Indigo Pearl, is beautifully designed and is a truly special Thai gem in the Phuket resort scene. Away from the madness and it allows you focus on the people you're with and the beauty around you.
We had two different degustation menus and shared amongst us. Yummy, yummy stuff.
With our bellies full and our hearts happy, we boarded the raft to be pulled back to land and we merrily explored the resort and headed back to our room for a dip in the hot tub and a long nights sleep.
Happy, happy people.
